A man that was the victim of an assault remains in critical condition following an incident two weeks ago.

Baltimore City detectives are encouraging Towson students to share any information they can about the incident that took place at Iguana Cantina in Baltimore, a popular late night location for college students on Thursday nights.

"We know that there were some Towson students there… I interviewed at least three of them. We are unsure if they are suspects," Baltimore City police detective Carl Stambaugh said.

On Friday, Sept. 26 at about 1 a.m., police officers stationed around the intersection of Market Place responded to an assault that occurred inside Iguana Cantina.

"It was a closed head injury. It wasn't a cut. It was all internal. It's very, very serious," Stambaugh said.

The victim has been unresponsive since the attack and remains in Shock Trauma. Investigators speculate that the victim was either kicked or punched, but do not know much beyond that point, calling the situation "very vague."

"We don't know how he sustained the injury…we know it was an assault, but we do not know what did the damage," Stambaugh said.

"Right now we're just searching for intelligence, something that can lead us to at least find out what happened to the guy."
